Love Warriors Yoga
My name is Ciara Marie Cunningham and I have been practicing yoga since 2005 when I took my first classes at the CNY Yoga Center (now Dharma Yoga Syracuse) with Saraswati Om. At the time I was an antsy teenager struggling with asthma and anxiety, and yoga provided an undeniable, almost-instant relief. Fast forward to Glasgow, Scotland in 2014: as my husband was undergoing treatment for a brain tumor, I found a renewed passion for yoga and general wellness through movement and a resolution to share that passion with others. Since I was introduced to Ashtanga yoga in Scotland and began practicing with teachers Kyle Gray, Gemma Maryan, and Colette Forrest-Bosque, I recommitted to daily practice that now incorporates strong influences from both Ashtanga and yin yoga. Upon moving back to Syracuse in 2016, I completed my RYT-200 Teacher Training through the Boston Yoga School’s adjunct program at O Yoga Syracuse and shifted my life whole-heartedly towards making movement more accessible to everyone in my community. I've studied with teachers like Ame Wren, Kevin Courtney, Josh Summers and Jason Crandell -- I'm always looking to further my education and knowledge of the human body and how to provide a challenging and balanced class to my students.
In 2016 I finished my Usui-Method Reiki Level 1 training and completed my Level 2 training in 2017. I currently teach private and small group yoga lessons in and around Syracuse, and am available for special bookings and events. I teach regular classes in studios around Syracuse, along with teaching yoga classes open to veterans, their families and staff at the VA Hospital in Syracuse through Connected Warriors. I teach regular classes at at O Yoga (Syracuse) and Vyana Yoga, as well as being founding instructor at Barre3 Syracuse. You can find my full calendar below!

Community Class to Benefit the Alzheimer's Association
Please join us for a fundraising community class led by myself and Rebecca Alexander in support of the Longest Day campaign for the Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter.
The Alzheimer's Association is a global organization, working to advance care, support and research across the world. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising worldwide research initiatives, the money you raise makes a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer's. Every dollar you raise benefits those affected by Alzheimer's disease in your community.
The local Central New York Chapter website is: www.alz.org/cny to access local resources, education, support groups, etc.
Cash donations will be accepted the day of the class at the studio. Suggested donation is $10, but anything you can give is welcomed.
